Personal challenges build character or something like that. Especially when you have fun with the challenges. When you challenge yourself to do something difficult and you accomplish the challenge the feeling of pride is incredible. Doing personal challenges is a great way to grow as a person.
The key to personal challenges is to think of them as a challenge that is “win and learn” instead of “pass or fail”. Thinking of it as win and learn allows you to take the personal challenge as a positive even if you do not accomplish the challenge. Using “pass or fail” paradigm gives you an excuse to feel bad if you do not accomplish the challenge.
